AmeriCorps Seniors RSVP
About the Program
AmeriCorps Seniors RSVP is a volunteer program for adults age 55 and older who want to make a meaningful difference in their communities. Through RSVP, volunteers are matched with opportunities that fit their interests, skills, and schedules while helping meet important community needs throughout Northern Nevada.
At Seniors in Service, RSVP volunteers provide companionship and respite support to older adults and family caregivers. By spending time with an older adult, volunteers help reduce loneliness and social isolation while giving caregivers the opportunity to attend appointments, run errands, or simply take time to recharge.
RSVP volunteers provide companionship, not medical or personal care.
